Frequently asked questions
Simple answers about sharing, connecting and what happens next.
What is GIST VINE?
GIST VINE is a human understanding platform: a space where people share what is happening, connect through live conversations and help shape better decisions. We understand before action.
Do I need an account to take part?
No. You can choose a question and type, record or upload your response without creating an account.
Can I take part without giving my name?
Yes. Your age range, age in years, gender and location are optional when sharing a response. Your first name, email address and phone number sit separately under Stay in touch. We need an email address or phone number only if you ask for updates, and an email address if you register for a live conversation.
What is a live conversation?
A real-time conversation online or in person, one-to-one or in a small group. The invitation will explain the format before you decide whether to join.
Will a live conversation be recorded?
Not unless we tell you clearly beforehand and ask for separate permission. Anonymous notes may be taken to support What We Heard.
What happens to what I share?
We listen for themes, differences and questions. We use these to deepen live conversations and create anonymous What We Heard learning.
Will my words be published?
We may use short anonymous extracts or summarise a theme. We will not publish your name, email, phone number or identifiable recording without additional permission.
Can I change my mind?
You can stop at any time before submitting. After submitting, use the privacy-request form to ask about withdrawing consent or deleting identifiable information.
What is What We Heard?
It is the learning returned to participants through GIST POD: the themes we noticed, where experiences differed and what questions should be explored next.
Will I be paid to take part?
Not every conversation includes an incentive. If one is offered, the invitation will explain it before you decide whether to participate.
